Clearblue® pregnancy tests stand out. Here’s why.

If you’ve looked at the many pregnancy tests available at the drugstore or searched for one online, you’ve likely wondered, Which test is best? Clearblue® has been a pioneer in pregnancy tests for more than 35 years. By putting women at the heart of everything we do, from education and technological development to design, research, clinical studies, field trials and testing, we have transformed the way women manage their reproductive health. The result? Tests that provide a clear, accurate answer when you need it most.

Clearblue® pregnancy tests: Key features

Since 1985, when Clearblue® introduced the world’s first “rapid” pregnancy test that gave an accurate result in just 30 minutes (at a time when other tests took hours or even days), we have been on the forefront of home pregnancy test development and design. Here’s what we offer women today.

Ease of use

All Clearblue® pregnancy tests are housed in a hard plastic case and give you two options for testing:

  1. Place the extra-wide absorbent tip in your urine stream for 5 seconds.
  2. Place the absorbent tip in a urine sample collected in a clean, dry container for the amount of time as instructed.

No matter which Clearblue® pregnancy test you use, the plastic housing has been carefully designed so it’s easy to hold. Clearblue® is also the only pregnancy test brand to feature Integrated Floodguard™ Technology, which helps make it easy to test correctly. Simply make sure your urine doesn’t go above the plastic housing of the test stick.

Other home pregnancy tests may offer only one option for testing. And when using tests without plastic housing, you’re more likely to accidently oversample the urine — and they’re less hygienic.

Quick results

Seconds seem to move astonishingly slow when you’re waiting to read the results of a pregnancy test. With the Clearblue® Rapid Detection Pregnancy Test, results may appear in 1 minute when taking the test the day after you expect your period.3 With the Clearblue® Digital Pregnancy Test with Smart Countdown, you can read your results within 3 minutes. And with the Clearblue® Early Detection Pregnancy Test, you can read your results after 3 full minutes.

While other home pregnancy tests also provide quick results, some require up to 5 minutes before providing them.

Readability

To assure you that the test is working and provide a bit of comfort while you wait, the Clearblue® Digital Pregnancy Test with Smart Countdown features a Smart Countdown depicted by gray blocks on a digital display. Each segment will appear flashing in sequence to show the test is progressing. The Smart Countdown will finish in 1-3 minutes and your result will display clearly on the screen in words: either “Pregnant” or “Not Pregnant.”

The Clearblue® Rapid Detection Pregnancy Test provides easy-to-read plus (+) or minus (-) results. And the Clearblue® Early Detection Pregnancy Test offers straightforward lines: If you see two lines, you are pregnant. It does not matter how faint, dark or wide the lines are — Clearblue® provides clear results.

No other home pregnancy test on the market offers results in words — “pregnant” or “not pregnant” — on the test.

When it comes to pregnancy tests, design and clarity matter. Regardless of which test you use, Clearblue® pregnancy tests are over 99% accurate at detecting pregnancy from the day you expect your period.2 In the end, choosing clarity over confusion and simplicity over frustration will help you focus less on the test and more on the result.

  1. Data on file.
  2. >99% accurate at detecting typical pregnancy hormone levels. Note that hormone levels vary. See insert.
  3. A pregnant result may appear in 1 minute when testing from the day of your missed period. Wait 3 minutes to confirm a not pregnant result.
